About Us
▍Our Story
Our team has worked with international companies investing in China since 2005. In 2016, we set up China Direct Biz in Shanghai to support them with company set-up, compliance and day-to-day operations.
Over time, the questions began coming from the other direction too. As more Chinese companies looked to Europe, we founded NLSP in Copenhagen in 2022 so we could support clients on both sides.
NLSP began by helping Nordic health innovators reach China, including through the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, where medical products approved abroad can be used in designated hospitals before they are registered in China. Since then, our clients have taken us further, into medical devices, robotics and smart manufacturing, cleantech and consumer goods.
Today, our teams in Copenhagen and Shanghai work as one. Our name reflects where we began; our work follows where our clients are going.
▍How We Work

Both directions. We advise European companies entering China and Chinese companies entering Europe, with our teams on both sides. For Chinese companies, we handle the outbound investment (ODI) filings in China. We also coordinate company set-up, EU compliance and partner search in the Nordics through local advisers.

Beyond the introduction. We stay for what comes next: entity set-up, licences, product compliance, contracts, employment, and restructuring or exit under PRC law. Our China work is led by a PRC-licensed lawyer, working with local law firms on IP and disputes.

Partner-led. Every engagement is led by a senior partner, drawing on backgrounds in business development, trade and investment promotion, sales leadership and law.

Special access pathways. Practical experience with the Hainan Boao Lecheng pilot zone, used alongside the standard NMPA route to gain earlier clinical use and local data.
